The July Audience Cost Calendar has been released and once again, travel segments are hot as the weather gets hotter! Six of the top ten segments in ranking and average cost index included the UK, Europe and Germany (which made the Top 10 in June, joining Portugal, South Pacific and Southern France). Also showing strength in the month of June were Pro Ice Hockey thanks to the Stanley Cup playoffs (sorry for the Boston Bruins but at least the winners – the Chicago Black Hawks – are an original 6 team) along with the Careers: Finance Professionals segment. ChoiceStream’s Bill Guild remarked that “Clearly, some cyclical trends are beginning to reveal themselves as we continue to monitor our Audience Cost Calendar.
